BDMBA hosts a range of events throughout the year including special lunches for Mother's Day or Father's Day, Christmas party, coffee nights for parents and monthly themed activities for the whole family. The cost of many of these events is subsidised by the Club for members.
Antenatal Evenings: ‘Preparing for Multiples’ is an antenatal program designed especially for expecting parents of multiples. Sessions are held over two nights. Guest presenters include an obstetrician, anesthetist, lactation consultant, maternal and child health nurse, physiotherapist and parents of multiples. At the antenatal night, you will receive an information kit, and also have the opportunity to become a member of the Ballarat and District Multiple Birth Association. Bookings are essential.
Expectant parents and under one’s morning tea: Hosted in the homes of our committee members in the Ballarat region, expectant parents and those with infants can come together and discuss the challenges and joys of being a multiple parent. Together we can share our experience in the early days of parenthood and glean some tips to make this journey easier.
Social Nights: Designed for the parents to have a night out. These events vary from a simple coffee and cake, dinner, or other event. Information Sessions: We are fortunate to be able to partner with local professionals and experts in their field. We host information sessions during the school terms and focus on topics that interest our multiple families.
Christmas Party: Our annual Christmas party is one our members look forward to. It’s a time where we can all come together and celebrate the year that was and catch up with other multiple parents.
Playgroup: Playgroups are held fortnightly at our Russell Square space and out and about at different locations such as parks and play centres.
